Corona Virus and the English Entrance Test

SARS-CoV-2 Virus Rapid Test No Longer Required

With the replacement of the 9th SARS-CoV-2-EindV by the ordinance of June 15, 2021, the testing requirement is no longer applicable if the incidence is below 20 for more than five days. This is the case in Potsdam. Therefore, until further notice, there is no need to provide a negative test result at an in-person event at the UP.

Please do not attend the examination if, 14 days before the test, you have been in one of the regions classified as a risk area by the Robert Koch Institute. If this applies to you, please contact your local health department.

On the Day of the Test

Please follow the instructions of the colleagues at the entrance to Building 70:

  • Masks must be worn in Building 70 and when entering and when leaving the rooms.
  • In the seminar rooms and lecture halls, a mask no longer has to be worn as soon as participants take their seat and maintain a distance of at least one meter from others.
  • Please bring your own medical mask (OP or FFP2 masks). A very limited number of surgical masks are available. Disinfection dispensers are available in the building.
  • Only those taking the exam should enter Building 70; only 10 people are allowed in the foyer at any one time.
  • Do not come to the exam or leave the exam in groups, and do not meet in groups after the exam to exchange information.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly again before entering the exam room. The restrooms in Building 70 are available for this purpose.

Before the Test

  1. Have the following documents ready:

a) Your passport/identification card (you must show a photo ID)

b) A copy of your high school diploma ( this does NOT need to be notarized. You may also present the original. We will not keep your records). If you have not yet received your high school diploma, please present your school  attendance certificate and your 12th grade mid-year report card in place of your high school diploma when you register for the exam.

2.   Before the exam begins, we will need to document your attendance in writing. Please bring your own pen for this purpose

Rules in the Testing Room

  • You may only enter and leave the room one at a time.
  • You will then be asked to take a seat: you may only occupy seats that are available according to the room’s "Corona" seating plan. The seats are chosen in such a way that a suitable distance is ensured. Log into Moodle (e-learning platform at the University of Potsdam).
  • After all exam participants have logged in, you will receive further instructions. After that, the exam will begin.
