Due to rising prices, the German government is providing financial relief for students and BAföG recipients. In addition to a second heating allowance of 345 euros, which was approved by the federal cabinet in September 2022, all students will receive a one-time payment of 200 euros, according to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. More information on the one-time payment of 200 euros can be found on the page of the Federal Ministry of Education. (As of 22.02.2023)
Information Regarding the Payment of the Energy Price Allowance for Students
Students who were enrolled at a higher education institution on December 1, 2022, with a domicile or habitual residence in Germany on that date, are entitled to a one-off payment of 200 euros.
Students enrolled at the University of Potsdam will receive an access code for applying for the one-time payment via PULS starting on March 15, 2023. You can use the access code to submit an application for disbursement of the one-time payment at antrag.einmalzahlung200.de until September 30, 2023.
To facilitate this procedure, the University of Potsdam processed the personal data of the students on the basis of Section 3 BbgEPPSGDV and forwarded this information in encrypted form to the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg (MWFK) as the responsible body (see the privacy policy - in German only).
In addition to the access code provided by the University of Potsdam, you will need an electronic ID (online ID or ELSTER certificate) to submit your application. If you do not have an electronic ID and cannot set one up, please create a BundID account with a valid e-mail address and use the PIN provided separately in PULS.
If you were exmatriculated during the period from December 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, you will receive the access code by mail at your address that is on file in PULS.
