Important Information

Please allow time for processing by the Examining Board!
Students should allow at least 6 weeks processing time for the application for recognition of academic credits and the placement in a semester of study. We recommend you seek counseling in the Departmental Advisory Office before the application in order to ensure, among other things, that no disadvantages (such as a later graduation) would come with the change of degree program.

Recipients of German Financial Aid (BAföG), please note!
The internal transfer to another degree program must also be communicated to the BAföG office and justified in writing. Under certain circumstances, transferring to a different degree program may have negative consequences for your BAföG funding. Please make sure you have all the necessary information before requesting an internal transfer.

Foreign students (from outside the European Union) should please contact the International Office in person in order to verify whether the internal transfer is in compliance with residence and immigration laws.
