Bachelor’s Studies at the University of Potsdam

These are abbreviations for the academic degrees awarded at the University of Potsdam: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). The degree awarded depends primarily on the main subject area of the program. For example, programs with a focus on natural sciences or business typically lead to a B.Sc., whereas programs in the humanities or social sciences usually lead to a B.A. The B.Ed. is the first step toward a career in teaching.

Module content is delivered through a variety of course formats. Depending on the program or subject, these may include lectures, seminars, tutorials, colloquia, projects, practical placements, and field trips.
