Bachelor’s programs at the University of Potsdam combine theory and practice to prepare students for both academic careers and a wide range of professional fields beyond teaching and research.

Learning Through Research and Real-World Experience

As a young university, the University of Potsdam offers a modern learning environment where students learn through research and real-world experience. All programs — except for Law (First State Examination) — lead to bachelor’s and master’s degrees that are widely recognized internationally. Within the two-cycle bachelor’s–master’s system, the bachelor’s degree is the standard first degree.

Bachelor’s programs may focus on a single subject (single-subject bachelor’s) or combine two subjects (dual-subject bachelor’s). Teacher education bachelor’s programs also combine multiple subjects.
