Purpose of data processing
Your contact data will be collected for the purpose of planning and organizing the appointment requested by you in your inquiry for consultation, as well as to communicate with you.
Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with Section 14(9) of the Brandenburg Higher Education Act (BbgHG). Under these provisions, personal data of students and external users may be processed by the higher education institutions of the State of Brandenburg in connection with their studies and the use of university facilities, such as Division 2.
Recipient of the data
Your data will only be transmitted to the Digital Services Department of the University Library for the administration of your appointment booking. Your data will not be passed on to third parties in any other respect.
Duration of data storage
Personal data will be automatically deleted five days after the appointment. In case of cancellation of the appointment, the data will be deleted immediately.
Your rights
You have the right to request information from us regarding the processing of personal data pertaining to you. Apart from the possibility to obtain a copy of your personal data, this right allows you to request information on the purposes of the processing, the recipients of the data as well as the duration for which the data is stored.
Should the personal data being processed be incorrect, you can ask for it to be corrected. Should the legal requirements of Article 17 or 18 of the GDPR apply, you also have the right to have personal data deleted or to restrict its processing. Please note that restricted processing of your data might not be possible in some cases. You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine readable format or to request the transmission of your data to another controller (Article 20 GDPR). Insofar as data processing is permissible without your consent, you can object to the processing of your data in accordance with the requirements of Article 21 GDPR.
