The campus management system of the University of Potsdam is known as the ”Potsdamer Universitätslehr- und Studienorganisationsportal” (PULS) and offers extensive features for application, enrollment, student and examination administration. This platform helps you to plan and organize your studies by enabling you to use the online course catalog, create your class schedules, register for courses and upcoming examinations during the semester, view your grades, or transfer to a different subject/program. You can also use PULS to update your personal data, submit applications (e.g., part-time studies, leave of absence, de-registration), and upload documents.

Access to PULS

Applicants

Prospective students, who have not yet enrolled at the University of Potsdam, have to register for PULS themselves in order to submit an application or enroll. This registration is necessary to initiate and continue the application and enrollment process.

University Members (Students & Full-Time Employees at the University of Potsdam)

University members can log in with their central university account. If you are new to the University of Potsdam, use your student ID number, which you can find on your student ID card (PUCK), to activate your central university account on Account.UP. In the process, you will receive your user name and set your own password. This access data enables you to log in to PULS and all ZIM IT services. Students whose enrollment has not yet been completed or whose payment of the semester fee is still outstanding cannot carry out this activation.

Please note that the examination administration services for some degree programs at the University of Potsdam are not managed by the Student Administration Center/ Examination Office and therefore not via PULS. These degree programs are administered directly in the respective academic departments. A detailed overview of the relevant offices and a list of the respective degree programs is available here.

Application and Enrollment

PULS is the University of Potsdam's central system for application and enrollment. Applications and enrollment for all degree programs are processed via this platform. For a few master’s degree programs, however, the application procedure is to be completed via the uni-assist application portal.
