GDP Information

In order to be eligible for a reduced low GDP fee, you have to live and work in a low GDP country. The threshold in the EARLI SIG 15 Biennial Meeting 2018 is an average annual GDP per capita of under 23.000 US-$ based on the World Bank data of 2016 annual GDP.

The following countries qualify for the reduced registration fees:

  • African Countries
  • Latin American Countries (exception: Bahamas)
  • Asian Countries (exceptions: Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong SAR, Israel, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Macau SAR, Qatar, Singapore, UAE)
  • Countries in Europe with low GDP: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, FYR of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia,Turkey and Ukraine.

Persons living and working in all other countries have to sign up as attendants from high GDP countries.
