The “New Erasmus Partnerships” project is one of the 12 sub-projects of the ZeLB project “UP Network for Sustainable Teacher Education”, which is part of the DAAD-funded program “Lehramt.International "(2021-24).

Teaching-related study trips abroad have so far been a constant challenge for various reasons. Strict requirements by the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and the fragmentation of pre-service teacher education degree programs into several areas usually lead to little leeway for students to complete a study visit abroad as part of an Erasmus partnership without losing time - i.e., for one of the subjects studied.

The aim of the measure is the strategic development of Erasmus partnerships, which enable students in pre-service teacher education degree programs at the University of Potsdam to study abroad in a way that allows them to study both subjects at the same time. The ZeLB supports the colleagues in setting up these new Erasmus partnerships.

This is an accompanying activity that is primarily aimed at the sub-projects and supports them in the establishment and institutionalization of partnerships, but beyond that – also in light of frequent subject combinations in the teaching profession – supports the establishment of further partnerships within the framework of existing collaborations that make recommendations for but do not necessarily participate in the sub-projects.
