“Teach in India!”  is one of the 12 sub-projects of the ZeLB project “UP Network for Sustainable Teacher Education”, which is part of the DAAD-funded program “Lehramt.International “(2021-24).

The aim is to establish a German-Indian cooperation within the framework of an institutionalized partnership between the University of Potsdam and the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) in Mumbai. Students in pre-service teacher education degree programs of the STEM subjects will be offered the opportunity to write final theses at partner institutions in Mumbai and thereby gain in-depth insights into regional science education. Additionally, teaching and research stays of doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, and professors from both sides at the respective partner institution are planned.

Scholarship support for student teachers of STEM subjects:

Up to 4 DAAD full scholarships for a stay of approximately 3 months at the HBCSE in Mumbai will be awarded annually from 2022 - 2023 for the completion of Master's theses.

Current information on the application, the program and the funding criteria can be found here.
