Calendar for reserving lab space

Google calendar

Room 0.41: hammer plate (H), jaw crusher (BB), disk grinder (SM)

Room 0.42: water table (WT), shatter box (SSM), sieves (S)

Room 0.56: frantz on the right side (frantz1), frantz on the left side (frantz2), heavy liquids (SPT or DI)

Note that each room is listed on a subcalendar.

Rules:

Reserving time is only possible online.

On the calendar, please note: time, equipment to use, your name

Please sign in on the paper lab book in the labs when you actually work so that we can verify equipment usage (time, all equipment used, name, sample numbers). All work should be listed - even equipment which is not reserved using the online calendar.

There are now user lists in rooms 0.42 and 0.56. On these paper lists, please write your name, telephone number, email address, and who/what project you are working for. This will help to efficiently resolve conflicts.

Please do not sign up more than 1 or 2 month in advance.

Please do not sign up for more than 2 days/week for a piece of equipment unless you have talked with Ed or Christine.

If you want to work more than 4 hours in a day, please either start early or finish late so that other people can efficiently use the remaining time.

Please cancel reservations if you cannot use the time.

If you are more than 1 hour late, another user is free to use the equipment.

If this happens multiple times, expect a warning.

When you finish working, please make sure that:

  • the equipment is clean
  • the work area is clean - including table top and floor
  • dust filter in vacuum cleaner has been changed
  • samples have been labeled and stored; do not leave samples on lab tables

If you find dirty equipment or workspace when you arrive, notify Ed or Christine.

**If you leave the lab dirty, you may be assigned to do 1-2 hours of unpaid cleaning work**

For every 40 hours of work that you do in the lab, plan on 1 hour of general cleaning
