Study abroad with Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is a higher education program of the European Union that has been promoting cross-border mobility of students, university lecturers and university staff in Europe since 1987. The 28 EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey participate in Erasmus+.
After completing your first year of study, you can receive funding through the Erasmus+ program for a study period of between three and twelve months at a host university abroad, up to and including your doctorate. So far, around two million students and nearly 200,000 faculty members have spent time abroad through this program across Europe.
How to apply?
There is one application round per year starting during the winter semester for mobility taking place in one semester of the following academic year.
You can submit your application between 1 December and 10 January via the online application portal of the international office (link here).
Your application will be evaluated by the departmental exchange coordinator based on academic background, language proficiency, and motivation. The evaluation process will be completed by 31 January, and you will be informed of the outcome by that date.
Once your application has been accepted:
In the following months after your nomination, the international office will assist you in preparing your stay abroad. This consists in applying to the hosting University and preparing your Online Learning Agreement (OLA). The OLA has to be signed electronically by the departmental exchange coordinators at both sending and hosting Universities before you start your studies abroad.
