Simple language in the school context

The aim of the project is to explore the potential of integrating the principles of easy and simple language in inclusive lessons. Teachers will be interviewed about their attitudes towards and experiences with the two concepts and specific texts will be analysed in terms of their comprehensibility. Among other things, the following research questions will be investigated: What is the empirical basis for the rules of plain language? Do teachers see a need for the use of factual texts of different levels of difficulty in their lessons? Which rules of easy language can improve the comprehensibility of textbook texts? Which groups of students benefit from non-fiction texts that have been written or modified according to the rules of easy language?
