Research Interests

• Aspects of service delivery and accommodations related to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for individuals who have little to no functional speech
• Facilitation of communicative environments for AAC users and engagement of their communication partners
• Development of pragmatic communication skills in people with complex disabilities
• Assessment and evaluation of communicative competences in individuals with Rett Syndrome
• Design of a user interface for AAC via eye gaze control
• Development and evaluation of guidelines for the assessment of AAC needs in the context of children´s and young people´s medical services offered by health agencies
