Evaluation of special schools with a special educational focus on intellectual development in the state of Brandenburg (2022-2024)

The aim of the project, which was commissioned by the Brandenburg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MBJS) and the Berlin-Brandenburg State Institute for Schools and Media (LISUM), is to evaluate special schools with a special educational focus on intellectual development and inclusive schools. The data is collected using questionnaires and structured interviews with school administrators and teachers.
The main focus is on the following goals: (1) describing the heterogeneity of students with a special educational focus on intellectual development, (2) recording the organization of teaching and full-day care and staff deployment planning as well as identifying challenges and opportunities for optimization with regard to the organization and design of schools and teaching, (3) looking at aspects of cooperation, professional qualifications and support for the educational staff.
