Evaluation of schools with a special educational focus on intellectual development in the state of Brandenburg (2022-2024)

The aim of the project, which was commissioned by the Brandenburg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MBJS) and the Berlin-Brandenburg State Institute for Schools and Media (LISUM), is to evaluate special schools with a special educational focus on intellectual development and schools with collaborative teaching. The data is collected using questionnaires and structured interviews with school management and teaching staff.

The focus is on the following objectives: (1) describing the heterogeneity of pupils with a special educational focus on intellectual development, (2) recording the organisation of teaching and all-day activities and staff deployment planning as well as identifying challenges and opportunities for optimisation with regard to the organisation and design of schools and lessons, (3) examining aspects of cooperation, professional qualifications and support for teaching staff.
