How can we eat sustainably and healthily? What kind of diet has a future?
These are the questions that will be addressed from November 15 - 19, 2021 during the "Future Food" campaign in the mensas of the University of Potsdam.
Together with the Studentenwerk Potsdam, the Steuerkreis Gesundheit, the Klimaschutzmanagement, and the Feel Good Campus of the University of Potsdam have taken a close look at current food trends and developed recipes for each day that contribute to climate protection and are healthy at the same time.
Among others, the topics "regional superfoods" and "zero food waste" will be in the spotlight. An overview of the day's dishes can be found here: www.studentenwerk-potsdam.de/en/food-co/specialoccassions/
In addition to the special dishes in the canteen, there is a lot of background information online and on site, an online lecture on Planetary Health Diet and other accompanying activities.
According to the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, food production is responsible for around 15% of greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, this topic has also received attention in our climate protection concept. 10 measures have been identified in this area, which will mainly implemented in cooperation with the Studentenwerk's canteens.
