| | and one day uh they took me with them |

| | and I stole three quail eggs |
| 6 | et euh je voulais faire comme les poules et les couver |
| | and uh I wanted to do like the hens and brood them |
| 7 | donc je les ai mis sous mon oreiller en rentrant le soir sauf que la nuit en dormant je les ai éclatés |
| | so I put them under my pillow when I got back in the evening but during the night I broke them when I was sleeping |
| 8 | et je ne savais pas comment le dire à ma grand-mère |
| | and I didn't know how to tell my grandmother |
| 9 | et euh donc je suis restée trois jours avec des œufs éclatés sous mon oreiller jusqu’au jour où ma grand-mère s’en est aperçue |
| | and uh so I spent three days with the broken eggs under my pillow until one day my grandmother realised it |
