Zessko offers German courses for international scholars at various levels of instruction; courses begin each semester (April / October). If there is capacity and the instructor gives their consent, it is possible to join an ongoing course during the semester and for spouses to participate. Advanced learners must complete a placement test before enrolling in a course. In addition, we also offer e-learning modules as well as a supervised tandem learning program for mutual language acquisition.
You can find the University’s current program of German courses here.
University of Potsdam - Language Café
Am Neuen Palais 10, Building 19, Zessko Media Library
Students and researchers can discuss linguistic, cultural and political topics in a relaxed and informal atmosphere at the language café. They are accompanied by tutors who are usually native speakers. Participants are encouraged to get involved and actively participate in the meetings.
