Research Alumni Program

The Research Alumni Program serves the exchange and networking of international (visiting) researchers and the University of Potsdam. Research collaborations, international networking, professional and interdisciplinary exchange: We build the network with our Research Alumni, keep them up to date with offers and actively integrate them with their contributions into the research network of the University of Potsdam. The Research Alumni Program is a cooperation of the International Office of the UP and the Alumni Program and works closely with the Welcome Center, the Potsdam Graduate School and many other areas.

Who are the Research Alumni of the University of Potsdam?

  • Research alumni are (visiting) scientists who have conducted research at the University of Potsdam and are now working in reasearch abroad.
  • Graduates of the University of Potsdam who continue their academic career abroad are also Research Alumni of the UP.

The new internal support program enables Potsdam scientists to invite their international research alumni back to the University of Potsdam for a short stay.

The Welcome Center Potsdam is the central counseling and service center for international mobile researchers at the University of Potsdam.

International Office of the UP

The International Office is the central point of contact for all matters relating to international affairs and works closely with the university management on issues of strategic internationalization.

The PoGS is the competence and advisory center for young and advanced scientists.
