The 11th University Ball on February 14, 2025, will be moving to a European beat! For one evening, we will be celebrating our university alliance EDUC, the European Digital UniverCity. However, the D here does not stand for digital, but for dancing. Eight partner universities from seven countries—that guarantees musical diversity! And the buffet will also feature culinary delicacies from the EDUC partner countries!
Booking
VIP Tickets
For those who want to experience an exclusive ball evening, there is the option of booking VIP tickets. The price for a VIP ticket is 199 euros. These tickets guarantee you a seat right next to the dance floor in the presence of the president and other guests from the worlds of science, politics, and business. The president will welcome you with an exclusive champagne reception at 6 p.m. You will then be personally escorted to your seats. You will enjoy table service and many little extras, including an attractive guest gift!
By purchasing a VIP ticket, you are also supporting our ball, enabling us to offer discounted ticket prices for students, for example!
Ticket booking
UP Transfer GmbH is handling ticket sales on behalf of the University of Potsdam. Tickets will go on sale on November 14, 2025, 1pm. A link to the ticket system will be published here at that time.
VIP Tickets

Seated or strolling tickets
The tickets differ only in terms of the fixed seating. The buffet and supporting program are identical. As prices are reduced for students, students are requested to present their student ID at the entrance on the evening of the event for verification purposes.

LateNight tickets
LateNight tickets grant admission from 10 p.m. The buffet may already be cleared away, but the party is still in full swing. You can dance to standard and Latin music until midnight. After the midnight raffle, there will be party music from the DJ. These tickets are also available at the box office or can be purchased via the ticket shop until shortly before admission. Tickets cost 19 euros for everyone.
Important information about ticket booking:
1. If you would like to sit together as a group, you should either book together or book close together in time. This will prevent other people from booking these seats in the meantime.
2. Students can book seats and standing room tickets at reduced prices. To do so, use the discount codes when booking. It is not possible to reduce the price of tickets that have already been purchased. Student ID must be presented upon admission. The discount codes are:
- Seated tickets REDUCED26S!
- Standing tickets REDUCED26F!
IMPORTANT: Copy the code including the exclamation mark. The discount code is exclusively for students and trainees, who must provide proof of their status on the evening of the event. If no proof of student status can be provided upon admission, the difference must be paid. This “supplementary ticket” must then be ordered and paid for (PayPal, credit card) on site via the ticket shop (Pretix).

Are your dancing skills a little rusty, or do you have no standard dances in your repertoire? No problem! The Academic Sports Center offers preparation dance courses: Disco Fox und Standard/Latein.
