EDUC Travel Grant | Deadline: January 15

The University of Potsdam invites applications for travel funds for the establishment and expansion of cooperations between the University of Potsdam and the EDUC partner universities Paris Nanterre, Rennes I (France), University of Cagliari (Italy), Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic), University of Pécs (Hungary), University of Southeast Norway (Norway), and University of Jaume I (Spain).
Professors, research assistants and Ph.D. students from all faculties of the University of Potsdam are eligible to apply. The travel funds should be used to initiate new or continue existing joint teaching and research projects with scholars at EDUC partner universities, e.g. for the purpose of developing virtual exchange scenarios, digital content for joint study modules, joint publications or research proposals, or the development and implementation of EDUC Summer Schools.

KoUP-Funding 2024 | Deadline: January 15, 2024

With the KoUP funding line, the university will continue to support cooperation with its partners in 2024. This year the following countries and partnerships are in focus: Argentina, Australia, Brasilia, France, Israel, Canada, Colombia, Poland, USA as well as Botswana, Ghana, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda in the sub-Saharan Africa region. We will also continue to support the collaboration within the European Digital UniverCity alliance, established at the end of 2019, with the Universities of Paris Nanterre and Rennes I (France), the University of Cagliari (Italy), Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic), the University of Pécs (Hungary), the University of South-Eastern Norway (Norway), and Jaume I University (Spain). In addition, cooperation with the universities acting as associated partners in EDUC, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University in Iwano Frankiwsk (Ukraine) and Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom is to be established or expanded. Applications within the framework of the university's membership in the YERUN network are also welcome: University of South-Eastern Norway (NO), Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (ES), Brunel University London (UK), Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (ES), University of Essex (UK), University of Eastern Finland (FI), University of Klagenfurt (AT), Maastricht University (NL), NOVA University Lisbon (PT), University Paris Dauphine-PSL (FR), Tor Vergata University of Rome (IT), University of Southern Denmark (DK), University of Limerick (IE), University of Rijeka (CRO), University of Cyprus (CY), UiT - The Arctic University of Norway (NO), University of Antwerp (BE), University of Stirling (UK), Tallinn University (EE), and the Nicolaus Copernicus University (PL).
KoUP support will be awarded to support the further development of cooperative relationships with the University’s partners. It is also possible to submit applications to establish cooperative agreements with other universities in the priority countries (see the selection criteria). The aim is to use the funding to prepare a joint application for third-party funding with a partner institution. For more information, please see the call for proposals.
The application consists of (i) the attached form (excel); (ii) a maximum one-page description of the joint project or the aim of the visit, including an explanation of how the project fits in with the University’s strategic development; and (iii) a preliminary budget, including own funds if applicable. When applying for travel costs, you must identify the universities and faculties to be visited.
Note: The Teaching & Training program has been discontinued and migrated with KoUP.

UP Reconnect – Return Grant

The new internal funding program UP Reconnect enables Potsdam scientists and institutes to invite their international research alumni back to the University of Potsdam for a short stay and thus strengthen their cooperation network. The funding includes a travel allowance, the amount is calculated depending on the country of departure.

Mobilities with Erasmus+
- Erasmus+ Teaching Stays
The University of Potsdam funds teaching assignments at European partner institutions that have an inter-institutional agreement with the University of Potsdam.
- Erasmus+ for Training
The University of Potsdam supports and funds mobilities of non-academic employees within the Erasmus+ porgram.
- Blended Intensive Programs (BIP)
Teachers can apply for centrally administrated Erasmus+ funds for Blended Intensive Programs (BIP) to implement cooperative teaching formats with European partner universities.
