Erasmus+ STA Mobilities

Promoting the mobility of teachers is a concern of the university as part of the internationalization strategy for the coming years. The Erasmus Annual Report 2014 has once again shown that the University of Potsdam ranks 5th in Germany in terms of teacher mobility. You can be as proud of that as we are!

The Erasmus+ program promotes teaching at European partner universities, with which the University of Potsdam has concluded an Interinstitutional Agreement. Through your stay, you should strengthen the European dimension of the host university, supplement your offer with that of the host university and impart your expertise to students who do not want to or can not study abroad. Of course, the Potsdam students will also benefit from their international experience.

Teacher mobility should include the development of joint study programs of the two partner universities and the exchange of teaching content and methods. Her teaching period must be at least eight lessons per week. You can apply for a teaching position if you have a contractual relationship with the University of Potsdam.

Lecturers without endowment, lecturers with contracts for work, retired professors and retired teachers can also apply. The minimum stay period for a teaching stay was set at two working days by the EU Commission. Two months is the maximum funding period (travel days are not included).

Still, applicants can be considered depending upon the availability of funds after ending of the deadline.

Application

The application deadlines are 30 June and 30 November. If a mobility has been arranged at short notice, please contact us. Requests after the deadline can also be funded if funds are still available.

Mobility preparation

You send the completed and signed Mobility Agreement (as a scan) to the partner university for signature. Afterwards, you forward the signed version to the International Office at the latest 8 weeks prior to the mobility.

You will then receive the Grant Agreement, signed and returned to the International Office before commencing any mobility.

Make a business travel application (financial audit: Sandra Nothmann of the International Office). You may apply for a anticipated payment 30 days before the start of the mobility.

If you are unable to do the mobility, please return the funds to the International Office so that the funds can be redistributed.

Before your return

Let confirm the length of your stay including working days by means of the Certificate of Stay. You will receive the template by e-mail together with the Grant Agreement.

After your return

You submit your travel expenses statement along with the required supporting documents along with the Certificate of Stay and the approved business travel application in the International Office. The reimbursement amount will be made after examination by the travel cost center in D3.

Later, you will receive an invitation by e-mail to complete the EU questionnaire (EU Survey), which you fill out online.
