Philipp Schwartz Initiative
- Call for Philipp Schwartz Grants
***13th Call for Funding Applications is now open***
The "Philipp Schwartz Initiative" of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation supports the admission of threatened researchers at universities and research institutions, by providing scientists at risk with a two-year fellowship, as well as a lump sum for the receiving institution. The nomination and selection of the candidates takes place at the University of Potsdam.
The university’s internal deadline for nominations is: Aug. 25th, 2023.

German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo

The University of Potsdam is a main supporter of the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo. Members of the University of Potsdam are eligible to participate in the DWIH’s calls for proposals for the financial support of projects such as scientific events, science based innovation projects as well as initiatives at the intersection of science, economy, and culture in Brazil for up to €5000.
The current internal deadline for proposals (projects for first half 2023/max. 2 projects): November 14, 2022.

German Research Foundation (DFG)

In principle, international collaborations can be funded in all regular DFG funding lines in accordance with the DFG's principle of scientific excellence (complementary funding from abroad required). In the case of collaborative projects with developing countries, the DFG also supports international partners under certain conditions.
