On 27 January 2023, Zhongtian Han successfully completed the defence of his dissertation "The Chinese Communist Forces' Communication Intelligence and Security: Strategy, Technology, and Culture, 1930-1953" at George Washington University. Prof. Sönke Neitzel was part of the dissertation committee. Zhongtian Han was once a Master's student of Sönke Neitzel at the LSE and discovered his interest in the history of intelligence here.
