Conducting Parent Meetings Successfully

Working with parents, including conducting parent meetings, constitutes an important responsibility for teachers. Such meetings can be experienced as challenging. This school-based professional development aims to support teachers in this area. In a one-day workshop, we aim to introduce teachers to the systemic approach as a foundation for successful meetings with parents. Using video recordings of parent meetings, practical exercises, and role-plays, participants will work on fundamental communication techniques and solution strategies for challenging situations. Effective professional development relies on active engagement, willingness to discuss, and the creativity of participants.
