- Since 2021, I have regularly served as a reviewer for the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI), the International Association for Research in L1 Education (ARLE), and the International Society for the Advancement of Writing Research (ISAWR), conducting blind peer reviews of conference submissions.
- Furthermore, since the winter semester 2022/23, I have been active as a reviewer for the international journals Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy (9 reviews), Behavioral Sciences (6 reviews), Sustainability (2 reviews), Journal of Eye Movement Research (2 reviews), Education Sciences (1 review), and Brain Sciences (1 review). These reviews are automatically listed via Web of Science and ORCID (21 reviews to date).
- At the national level, I have been invited to act as a reviewer for the journals Medien im Deutschunterricht and Sprachlich-Literarisches Lernen und Deutschdidaktik.
- In March 2022, I was appointed as a reviewer for the ZeLB in the selection process for a permanent academic staff position at the chair of Prof. Dr Guido Nottbusch (Primary School German Didactics).
- In May 2022, I authored an expert review of the curricular lesson planning for the subject of German within the ReMi project (https://paedagogische-beziehungen.eu/inklusive-didaktik/) for Professor Ute Geiling and Professor Annedore Prengel. The resulting stage models for the subject of German in inclusive contexts were subsequently published: https://inklusive-didaktik.de/faecher/
- Since 2023, I have also been regularly involved as a reviewer for research funding applications for the Stifterverband.
- In 2023, I served as a reviewer for the entire edited volume in a blind peer review process:

- In spring 2024, I completed the primary review of the doctoral dissertation by Lucas Deutzmann; the dissertation defence took place in July 2024.
- For the doctoral thesis by Charlotte Wendt entitled “Digitalisation from the Perspective of Teachers of German”, I was appointed as an external third examiner at Leuphana University in October 2024; the defence took place in May 2025.
- In February 2025, I authored an external expert report for the position of Senior Researcher in Inclusive German Didactics at the University of Bremen.
- Also in February 2025, I conducted a blind peer review of the edited volume Diversitätssensibler Deutschunterricht for Beltz Publishing (220 pages).
- In spring 2025, I acted as primary supervisor and authored the assessment report for Ms Yoganjana Sushanthi Menike Hewarathna Jayasinha Mudiyanselage; the second assessment was provided by Prof. Dr Prof. h.c. Dr h.c. Thorsten Roelcke (TU Berlin). The dissertation defence took place on 24 November 2025.
- For 2026, I was appointed as an external member of the examination committee of the Department of History at the University of Potsdam in the doctoral procedure of Philip André Schmidt.
- At the Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of Potsdam, I was elected Deputy Chair of the examination committee for the doctoral procedure of Ms Freya Hewett in August 2025. The dissertation defence will take place on 14 December 2025.
- At the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Potsdam, I was elected Chair of the examination committee for the doctoral procedure of Mr Şerif Derince in autumn 2025; the dissertation defence is scheduled for 2026.
