On 12 June 2026, student assistants Michelle Marschalek and Charlize Williams presented the Special Educational Needs (with a focus on language) degree programme as part of the University Information Day at the Griebnitzsee Campus. The presentation was aimed at those interested in enrolling on the degree programme.

Key content and projects from the seminars on inclusive German language teaching were presented from a student’s perspective. The focus was on providing a clear illustration of the practical work carried out within the seminars, which are completed over the course of the degree programme. This includes, for example, working with materials from the junior professorship’s research projects such as ‘Fair Debating and Written Argumentation’ and ‘Stop Bullying! A Drama Project’.

The aim of the presentation was to provide prospective students with as realistic an insight as possible, from a student’s perspective, into the content of the ‘Language’ specialisation and to make the topics covered during the degree programme tangible.

The event helped to present the ‘Language’ specialisation’s programme transparently and to encourage interest in an in-depth exploration of inclusive German language teaching.
