Research Objectives of Prof. Dr. Winnie-Karen Giera & Her Team

In all my projects, I pursue the research strategy ‘BE A PART! Professional, political and cultural participation through the promotion of (written) language and communication skills’. My research interests are as follows:

• Assessment (screenings) and promotion (intervention) of writing, reading, debating and acting skills in lower secondary education
• Designing inclusive, cooperative and self-regulated German lessons in lower secondary education
• Teacher training in an inclusive teaching and learning context
• Professional, cultural and political participation of young people through language support
• Promotion of communication skills in lower secondary education
