Dr. Thore Schlaak

Dr. Thore Schlaak studied politics and economics in Münster and economics at Freie Universität Berlin, where he received his PhD in 2019 with a focus on time series econometrics. He published articles in peer-reviewed journals in the research fields of empirical macroeconomics and applied econometrics, in particular time series analysis with vector autoregressive models. From 2016 to 2020, Thore Schlaak was employed as a research fellow in the Economic Policy Department of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW), where he provided analyses and forecasts on foreign trade and the German labor market. Since June 2020, he has been working in the Policy Department of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
 
At UP, Dr. Thore Schlaak held the exercises on Univariate and Multivariate Time Series Econometrics in each of the winter semesters 2019/2020.
