General Population Survey of the Social Sciences – ALLBUS
The "General Population Survey of the Social Sciences" has been collecting data on the attitudes, behaviors, and social structure of the population in the Federal Republic of Germany every two years since 1980. To this end, a representative sample of the German population is surveyed in face-to-face interviews (approximately 2,800 to 3,500 respondents per survey).
European Social Survey - ESS
The European Social Survey (ESS) is a cross-national survey based on scientific standards that has been conducted every two years since 2001. The ESS collects data on the attitudes and behavioral patterns of the population in more than 30 European countries.
EU-SILC Daten
The EU Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) aims to collect timely and comparable cross-sectional and longitudinal data on income, poverty, social exclusion, and living conditions. The data have been collected annually since 2004. All EU member states, as well as Switzerland, Norway, Turkey, Iceland, Serbia, and North Macedonia, now participate.
European Values Study - EVS
The European Values Study (EVS) is a large-scale, cross-national, longitudinal survey program on fundamental human values. It provides insights into the ideas, beliefs, preferences, attitudes, values, and opinions of citizens across Europe. The European Values Study covers a broad spectrum of human values and has been conducted since 1981. The main topics include family, work, the environment, life perspectives, politics and society, religion and morality, and national identity.
International Social Survey Programme - ISSP / GESIS
The ISSP is a transnational collaborative program that conducts annual surveys on various social science topics. The study was established in 1984.
LFS / Labour Force Survey
The LFS Labor Force Survey is a household-based survey designed to gather information on the labor market and related topics through a series of in-person interviews. The surveys have been conducted annually since 2005.
PISA
The OECD's PISA studies are international assessments of student achievement that have been conducted every three years since 2000 in most OECD member countries and an increasing number of partner countries, with the aim of measuring the knowledge and skills of 15-year-olds that are relevant to daily life and the workplace.
SOEP
The Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) is a representative longitudinal survey of private households in Germany conducted by DIW Berlin. The survey has been conducted annually since 1984, always with the same individuals and families. The individuals and families surveyed were selected “at random” to ensure they are representative of the population living in Germany. Currently, approximately 15,000 households and 30,000 individuals participate in the survey.
