Students with a residence permit to study are not entitled to BAföG.

Bridge Scholarship Programme (Coordination Office for Equality)
The bridge scholarship is aimed at female doctoral candidates and students at the University of Potsdam who are in the final phase of their Qualification Project and need financial support for this period (max. 6 months).
This project can be a habilitation, dissertation, master's or bachelor's thesis.
Mothers and fathers who want to continue their academic qualification after a family-related interruption of at least 6 months can also be funded.
Application requirements:
Scholarship holders must devote themselves entirely or predominantly to the realization of their Qualification Project. A secondary occupation can be only on a limited basis.
Care Concept Welcome to Germany-Stipendium
The scholarship supports students of all subjects with 300 euros per month for six months each. During the sponsorship period, scholarship holders are expected to provide regular reports in video and text form, which will be used for Care Concept AG's online and social media presence. The application deadline for the winter semester is August 15, for the summer semester January 31.

Das Universitätsstipendium Potsdam (The University Scholarship Potsdam) is announce once a year by the University of Potsdam and you can always apply for the winter semester. The monthly funding amounts to 300 EUR in a period of two semesters up to a maximum of the standard period of study.

Students from all disciplines who are properly matriculated at the University of Potsdam (except doctoral students) are funded. It focuses on students with excellent academic achievements in the respective subject area, socially engaged, with international and professional experience as well as special biographical challenges.
Faculty of Science: Support for Young Researchers
The Faculty of Science at the University of Potsdam provides funding to support equal opportunity among young researchers.
Master's students in the final phase of their studies can also apply.
The SBW Berlin scholarship is aimed at international students who are socially committed and come from financially disadvantaged family backgrounds. It is crucial that SBW Berlins scholarship recipients return to their home countries after the completion of their studies. During the funding period – and during their studies – all scholarship recipients develop their own social non-profit project, which is closely linked to the scholarship recipient’s home countries.
During the early stages of the application process, applicants do not have to submit the university admission letter yet or prove conditional acceptance to a university. However, it is highly recommended that all applicants read the Guidelines and Criteria for the SBW Berlin scholarship carefully, before submitting their applications.
