Lehr- und Forschungsprofil

Im Rahmen meiner Forschungstätigkeit beschäftige ich mich überwiegend mit dem mathematischen Problemlösen.

Im DiPa-Projekt (Differenzierter Problemlösekompetenzaufbau) wird Unterrichtsmaterial für heterogene Lerngruppen entwickelt und mithilfe eines Unterrichtskonzeptes erprobt. Inwiefern die Konzeptionen erfolgreich und im realistischen Mathematikunterricht umsetzbar sind, wird durch qualitative Videoanalysen untersucht. Insbesondere wird dabei fokussiert, welche Schwierigkeiten bei den Fünft-/Sechstklässler:innen entstehen und wie zugänglich die Materialien für Schüler:innen unterschiedlichen Leistungsniveaus sind. In einem Kooperationsprojekt mit der PH Ludwigsburg und der University of Helsinki beschäftigen wir uns mit den Vorstellungen von Lehrer:innen zum mathematischen Problemlösen. In der fragebogengestützten Studie wird überwiegend quantitativ ausgewertet, wie u.a. die Praxis des Problemlöseunterrichts in den einzelnen Ländern verankert ist und welche länderspezifischen Unterschiede vorliegen. In der Hochschullehre ist mein besonderes Interesse, angehende Lehrkräfte praxisorientiert und fachdidaktisch kompetent auszubilden. Hierzu biete ich u. a. Seminare zur Planung und Weiterentwicklung von Mathematikunterricht an („Mathematik lernen, Mathematik lehren I“ und „Mathematik lernen, Mathematik lehren II“), betreue Studierende im Praxissemester und entwickle Vertiefungsseminare im Master zu verschiedenen interessensgesteuerten Inhalten (z. B. „Analoge und digitale Medien im Mathematikunterricht“, "Faszinierende Mathematik in Natur und Kultur"). Bedarfsgerecht, zielorientiert und mit offener Kommunikation möchte ich gemeinsam mit den Studierenden Inhalte erarbeiten, sodass auch das Lernen über die Mathematikdidaktik gelingt.
