Why participate?

At the Welcome Event of the Potsdam Graduate School (PoGS), we invite all new PhD candidates and postdocs to get to know us as the PoGS team and our services. As a competence and advice center, we accompany and support you during your PhD and postdoc phase with numerous further education and financial support offers as well as exciting networking opportunities. In addition, you will have the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of experienced members of the community and make valuable contacts at an early stage.

What you can expect?

• Orientation & support: Get to know the wide range of services offered by PoGS - from workshops and extensive continuing education programs to individual coaching and financial support.
• First-hand experience: Your PhD and postdoc representatives share helpful tips and insights to help you get started in your academic career.
• Networking made easy: Build bridges and make connections with colleagues who can support you along the way.
• Concluding the event: Afterwards, you can continue the discussions in a relaxed atmosphere at the Science Club on our roof terrace on a sunny day or in the Schwarzschild room in front of the crackling open fire during the cold season and take the opportunity to expand your network even further.
