PoGS in Motion - City Cycling
Join STADTRADELN – for our PoGS team!
STADTRADELN is nationwide cycling challenge where participants aim to cover as many of their everyday routes as possible by bike over a 21-day period, using climate-friendly cycling only.
In June 2026, we’ll hop on our bikes together and collect cycling kilometers for our "Team PoGS".
Whether commuting to work, heading to university, or riding in your free time – every kilometer counts towards climate protection and our team ranking.
Why participate? - Special Extras
- Everyone who registers for the PoGS team receives a great tour bag filled with useful accessories!
- Anyone who cycles at least 10 km for our team will receive a medal as a token of appreciation!
- The participant with the most kilometers cycled will also receive an attractive prize!
Extra motivation
If we manage to log the most kilometers as a team, all participants will receive a free drink and a snack at the next Science Club!
It's even more fun together!
During the campaign period, we’ll offer three group bike tours – there's something for everyone (see below). Participation is, of course, voluntary.
Registration
Register at stadtradeln.de once registration is open, join the PoGS team, and cycle with us to win the competition. Further information will follow here as soon as STADTRADELN registration begins.

Bike Tours with PoGS

Bike Tour 1
31.9 km – Around Lake Schwielowsee
When: tba
Start & end: Bildungsforum Potsdam
Difficulty & profile: Easy, 100 m uphill and 100 m downhill
Duration: approx. 2 hours
Highlights & possibles tops for refreshments:
The route follows the water’s edge (with swimming spots!) and passes several lovely restaurants.

Bike Tour 2
12.3 km – via Babelsberg to the New Garden
When: tba
Start & end: Potsdam Main Station
Difficulty & profile: Easy, 40 m uphill and 40 m downhill
Duration: approx. 45 min.
From Potsdam main station, we cycle along the Havel river towards Babelsberg. Here we cross Babelsberg Park with a view of Prince Pückler's landscape architecture. In Klein Glienicke, there is the first opportunity for refreshments at Wartmann's Café. We then continue over the Glienicke Bridge towards Neuer Garten. Between Jungfernsee and Heiliger See and past Cecilienhof Palace, we return to the city centre and Potsdam Main Station.
