A focal point of our empirical research is high-quality instruction. We are interested in the question of what impact teacher motivation and instructional quality have on students’ motivation in class. But in this context, we also consider different questions.

In our research activities we are currently dealing with the following topics:

  • Relationships between teachers and learners (BeLL)
  • Motivation at school (MOVE)
  • Motivation in Teachers and Learners (Teach!)
  • Self-efficacy and reflection skills of student teachers (Reflect)
  • Cooperative relationships in schools (cooperative relationships between parents and teachers in secondary schools / internships in teacher training)
  • Artificial intelligence in educational processes (Cluster of Excellence SCIoI, Project 06 & Project 31)
  • Digitalisation in the classroom (digitalisation in schools and teacher training)
