With our series of events, we inform you about the various EU, federal and state of Brandenburg funding programmes for application-oriented research and provide tips on how to apply.

Our next Transfer Breakfast, which will focus on the VIP+ and EXIST Start-up Grant funding programmes, will take place online on 16 October 2026 at 10 am. 

From research to application: VIP+ and EFT funding programmes

Do you have a promising research idea with real value beyond academia?

The VIP+ and EFT programmes offer tailored routes for turning scientific projects into practical applications or your own start-up.

• VIP+ (Validation Funding): This programme helps you assess the technological and commercial potential of your research findings. It supports you in demonstrating feasibility and market readiness — the ideal first step towards turning a forward-looking idea into a tangible product or application.
• EFT (Start-up Funding): If your path leads directly towards self-employment, EFT provides systematic support along the way. The programme helps you prepare your spin-off from the university and develop it into a viable, economically stable company.

At our online information session, representatives from the project sponsors will give you a concise introduction to both programmes. You'll gain concrete insights into funding requirements, key focus areas and the application process. Afterwards, you'll have the opportunity to ask your individual questions and speak directly with experts from the university and the project sponsors in separate Zoom rooms.
