QUADRIGA Data Competence Center
The Project is funded by BMFTR from 2023 to 2026
We lay the groundwork for PhD candidates and postdocs to develop skills needed to handle data confidently in their day-to-day research: Interactive Jupyter Books allow users to engage with the content at their own pace. These can be found and selected using search and filter criteria via the QUADRIGA Navigator.
The QUADRIGA case studies are freely accessible for learning and teaching, can be used both locally and server-based, and are transferable and adaptable. The Creative Commons licenses assigned generally allow for free use and, in some cases, permission for adaptation and redistribution.
All materials were developed to address selected skills and competencies from the QUADRIGA Data Literacy Framework, which maps all relevant aspects of data literacy based on the data flow. From planning data-driven research through data management to the publication of datasets in accordance with the FAIR principles, the case studies combine learning modules for typical problem scenarios.
Through various blended-learning formats for competency development - such as workshops, Data Talks, and hackathons - the Data Competency Center is establishing itself as a hub for research, learning, and networking.
