Current Situation in Iran

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the escalating conflict in Iran and throughout the Middle East. We know that these events can be deeply distressing for members of our university community, especially those with family and personal ties to the region. In these extraordinary stressful situations, we would like to offer our support to affected students and academics:

Time for Repairs – DFG Funds International Doctoral Program “Cultures of Repair”

The world’s development is not a story of linear progress but rather a series of repairs. This is the premise of the new international Research Training Group Cultures of Repair, established by the University of Potsdam in partnership with the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne. At the heart of the program is the concept of “repair” as an alternative paradigm for social and cultural change.

Building Valuable Connections – University of Potsdam Delegation Visits Partners in South America

The University of Potsdam is seeking to further expand its close ties with South America. To this end, a university delegation led by President Oliver Günther traveled to Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil in late February to meet with partner institutions. The delegation included representatives from the International Office, the Center for Teacher Training and Education Research (ZeLB), and researchers in Romance studies, military history, and business information systems.
