Faculty Council of the Digital Engineering Faculty

The Faculty Council is the Faculty's highest body. Its members are elected every two years by all of the Faculty's status groups (students elect their representatives annually). The Faculty Council elects the Dean based on proposals from the President of Postdam University and is responsible for all questions related to teaching activities. Among other things, it appoints members to the examining boards.

The various status groups of the Digital Engineering Faculty elected the first Faculty Council on April 20, 2017. In order to accommodate the special circumstances surrounding the Faculty's founding and remain in sync with the councils of other Faculties , the representatives of all the status groups will serve until September 30, 2018. Its predecessor was the founding committee, which in March 2017 began preparing for the decisions of the subsequent Faculty Council.
