The "European Women in Technology" conference is one of Europe's largest trade shows for women in tech. The conference attracts female executives and IT experts from around the world and provides a platform for women in the technology sector to share knowledge, experiences and visions and to network. More than 250 international speakers share their expert knowledge in more than 200 sessions and provide insights into new fields of research and work. During the 5 days, participants can also train and improve their soft skills, including leadership and potential development.
The "European Women in Technology" is part of the Women in Tech World Series: Other conferences will be held in London, Dublin, Silicon Valley and Cape Town. This year, the professional conference will be held as a global online festival from November 16-20, 2020.
HPI awarded travel scholarships to female undergraduate and graduate students in 2019. The young women traveled together to Amsterdam, where the conference is usually held. Due to the change to the online festival, HPI has also changed the scholarships. Under the motto "Women in Tech: Step into Your IT-Career", HPI offers the female applicants not only a ticket to the online conference, but also an intensive networking day at the institute itself. Here, the scholarship holders gain new soft skills and important tips to start their professional IT career ideally prepared.
