Maternity protection

Expectant and nursing mothers have special protections against occupational health hazards. The Maternity Protection Act (MuSchG) also applies to students and school pupils since Jan. 1, 2018. In order for the University of Potsdam to be able to comply with this protective legislation, women should report their pregnancy (students in D2, employees in D3).
In addition, a hazard assessment of the working or study conditions must be undertaken to minimize risks for mother and child.

You can find further information on maternity protection at Service for families.
