At the Center for Languages and Key Competences (Zessko), there is (virtually) a lot going on now! The instructors are hard at work developing online courses for the students of the University of Potsdam. Instructors of different languages and departments are supporting each other and sharing their experience in online learning. In addition to this internal exchange, the services offered by the ZfQ/Teaching and Media are a welcome source of support.

Almost all of the courses at Zessko originally scheduled for Summer 2020 Semester will take place. Starting April 20, participants in the DSH Course+ will receive digital support to prepare for the DSH examination. Opportunities for independent study (including writing consultations and presentation coaching) have been largely secured online. An online writing workshop will be offered on a weekly basis starting April 23. The student organizers of the student projects have also found online solutions for various projects.

Due to the current increased workload, we ask students to refrain from sending individual e-mail inquiries to the instructors:

  • On the Zessko website, you and your fellow students can find information about classes and operations at Zessko in Summer 2020 Semester.
  • Information about the courses in the Department of Languages can be found here.
  • Information about Zessko's course offerings in Studiumplus can be found here.
  • The instructors will provide students will information on the individual courses. Students can find details about the individual courses in PULS in the field "remarks."

The team at Zessko wishes all students and staff of the University of Potsdam all the best for the Summer 2020 Semester!

Many thanks to the ZfQ for the use of the image.
