Zoe Maurer
Short biography
Zoe Maurer studied political science at the University of Bremen (Bachelor of Arts) from 2016 to 2020. She then completed a Master's degree in Political Science at the University of Bielefeld and the University of Potsdam. During her studies, she already worked as a research assistant at the Research Center on Inequality and Social Policy (University of Bremen), as well as at the Center for Quality Development and Teaching (ZfQ) and supported the research project FISCAP (Building Fiscal Capacity) at the Chair of Politics and Governance in Germany. Zoe Maurer has been a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Chair since May 2024. She is also a member of the research project STATE-DNA.
Research
Zoe Maurer is particularly interested in the role of ministries for executive policy-making from a comparative perspective. She is also interested in how institutional routines, regulatory requirements and organizational logics influence the quality of sustainability-related policy impact assessments. In her research she uses comparative, quantitative and text-analytical methods.
