We are offering two fully funded positions for one scientific project manager within the second phase of the NamTip project and one PhD student for the new DFG priority programme “On the Way to the Fluvial Anthroposphere”. The scientific project manager will coordinate the second phase of the international research project NamTip and coordinate the laboratory activities of the Biodiversity Research and Systematic Botany Group. The main objective of the PhD student is to reconstruct the effects of human interventions on vegetation dynamics, in particular on the functional composition and diversity of vegetation in past centuries. In addition, the PhD student will contribute to the new research field of functional paleoecology.

You can find the job adverts and additional information on the two positions here. We encourage applications from the Global South. Application deadline for the scientific project manager position is April 6th and the application deadline for the PhD position is March 24th.
