We are offering two fully funded positions for one scientific project manager within the second phase of the NamTip project and one PhD student for the new DFG priority programme “On the Way to the Fluvial Anthroposphere”. The scientific project manager will coordinate the second phase of the international research project NamTip and coordinate the laboratory activities of the Biodiversity Research and Systematic Botany Group. The main objective of the PhD student is to reconstruct the effects of human interventions on vegetation dynamics, in particular on the functional composition and diversity of vegetation in past centuries. In addition, the PhD student will contribute to the new research field of functional paleoecology.
