New research project on Climate-Smart Landscapes in Africa

Starting in March 2021, a German-African research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will be coordinated by our group. The project GreenGaDe – Greenhouse Gas Determination in West Africa’s Agricultural Landscapes – aims to provide baseline data and predict the evolution of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon stocks in West Africa’s agricultural sector. Researchers from four West African and two German institutions with specialists in agro-ecology, modelling, environmental chemistry, and sociology will closely collaborate in GreenGaDe. Research results will support West African countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to ensure sustainable intensification of agriculture in the region.

A PhD position and a postdoc position are still vacant in our working group. Keep posted for the job advertisements!
