The following rules of conduct apply on and in all sports facilities used by Hochschulsport Potsdam:
General Rules & Instructions
Only healthy to the course / to the training
You are only allowed to come to the course or training in a healthy condition without symptoms of a COVID-19 infection. In case of doubt, please stay at home and consult a doctor.
During the courses when practicing contact and non-contact sports outdoors, there are no longer any restrictions. Away from the sports area and outside the regular course time, please pay attention to the compliance with the general rules of distance and hygiene.
In all indoor sports facilities away from the sports area (locker rooms, hallways, entrance and sanitary areas) masks are compulsory (from 7 years; medical mask) as well as the obligation to comply with the general distance and hygiene rules. The mask obligation does not apply to the actual sports area.
If the seven-day incidence exceeds 20 for five consecutive days, participation in the course is only possible for those with proof of testing, as well as those who can prove they have been fully vaccinated or have recovered. See proof of testing, vaccinated, recovered.
Indoor contact sports
For indoor contact sports, there is a maximum number of 30 participants and the obligation to present a test certificate issued to the participant (there is no possibility of on-site testing in the sports facilities.) Fully vaccinated and recovered individuals are exempt from the obligation. See proof of testing, vaccinated, recovered.
Proof of testing, vaccinated, recovered
If the seven-day incidence exceeds 20 for five consecutive days (according to the Robert Koch Institute publication www.rki.de/inzidenzen), participation in non-contact indoor sports is only possible for individuals who can present a test certificate issued to them in accordance with §5 number 1 of the SARS-CoV-2 Umgangsverordnung of the state of Brandenburg, as well as for individuals who can prove that they have been fully vaccinated and have recovered. (There is no possibility of testing on site in the sports facilities).
For indoor contact sports, there is generally an obligation to present a test certificate issued to the participating person in accordance with §5 number 1 of the SARS-CoV-2 Umgangsverordnung of the State of Brandenburg, irrespective of incidence values. Fully vaccinated and recovered individuals are exempt from the obligation.
Fitness club goFIT
In the gym goFIT there is also a mask obligation and the obligation to comply with the general distance and hygiene rules. When performing the exercises, the mouth-nose protection can be removed. There is no obligation to test if the seven-day incidence is less than 20.
During massages, care must be taken to comply with the spacing requirement before and after application. Wearing a medical mask is mandatory at all times while indoors.
Children's sports - FamFIT
For children up to and including six years of age, both the mask and testing requirements are not applicable. For schoolchildren, if they are not of age, a certificate signed by a parent or guardian confirming the negative result of a PoC antigen test carried out without professional supervision may be presented as proof for self-testing. You can use the MBJS template for schools for this purpose.
The same rules of conduct and obligations apply to legal guardians accompanying the children as to those participating in sports.
Due to contact tracking, only the parent or guardian registered with us may attend as an accompanying child.
Use of locker rooms & showers
The locker rooms are open and available for use. Wearing of a medical mask by all sports participants is mandatory. Showers are available again, but can only be used if the minimum distance is complied with.
Please appear in sportswear if possible
Please appear in sportswear if possible, as despite the opening of the changing rooms and showers, we can only provide very limited capacity due to the applicable regulations.
Clean & disinfected hands
Take 30 seconds. If necessary, wash and disinfect your hands at the beginning and end of practice. This also applies after blowing your nose, sneezing or using the restroom. Please use the soap/disinfectant dispensers provided or always have soap/disinfectant with you if necessary.
Please remember that your actions have a significant impact on maintaining our sports and exercise programs. Instead of shaking hands, a smile and wave will suffice. Be considerate and responsible. Protect yourselves and others - it's the only way we can provide what we've all been missing for so long now.
Please be aware that despite extensive precautions and adherence to all hygiene and distance rules, a residual risk of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus cannot be ruled out during group sports activities.
If you have had personal contact with a person in whom the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been detected in the laboratory, you must contact the appropriate health department immediately, regardless of symptoms. If you experience acute respiratory symptoms, you should follow the rules for coughing and sneezing, as well as good hand hygiene, and seek medical attention - this is the recommendation of the RKI. If you test positive for Covid-19, please inform the university sports department immediately.
Both our exercise instructors and the academic sports staff do their best to provide you with safe workouts. Follow them and the instructions/rules of the instructors. Help us to make it possible for you to exercise together safely.
