Cindy completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in IT Systems Engineering at HPI. Her master's thesis focused on main memory-based analysis of DNA data, which led her to discover her passion for bioinformatics. Since 2013, Cindy has been working on her PhD at the EPIC chair. Her research focuses on integrative analysis of different biological data types for reliable biomarker detection.

Difficult question. I am currently impressed by Jacina Ardern (Prime Minister of New Zealand), who is leading her country through difficult times with great aplomb (e.g. Corona, rampage) and is also introducing measures to strengthen families and women (e.g. paid parental leave, monthly hygiene products free of charge in schools).
