Sprachenvielfalt und Typologie
The goal of this seminar is to provide an in-depth look at linguistic diversity and the controversies surrounding it, and to learn about and discuss the most important issues, methods and findings in language typology. This is a bilateral seminar with weekly sessions, starting on the 31st of May, with the following sessions on the 7th, the 14th and the 21st of June from 2:15 to 3:45 pm (over Zoom, in English). During this time, topics such as bilingualism, geopolitics and language orientation, and heteroglossia practices will be discussed.
