Competition for Ideas – An attractive campus is a healthy one!
Join us in shaping a university that brings together health, community and sustainability!
We are looking for creative ideas for a healthy, attractive and sustainable campus.
Health, well-being and good study and working conditions are key prerequisites for a sustainable university. Students and staff experience the campus every day and know best what facilities, spaces and structures are needed. We want to use your ideas to generate concrete initiatives for healthy working and learning environments, as well as a positive sense of community.
Two exclusive team health promotion initiatives will be raffled off among all entries – one among students and one among staff.
What kind of ideas are we looking for?
Up to five projects from the ideas competition are to be further developed and implemented jointly. We are looking for creative and realistic proposals relating to workplace health management or student health management, for example:
- Measures for stress prevention and mental health
- Health-promoting learning and working environments
- Exercise and relaxation facilities on campus
- Meeting places and social interaction formats
- Initiatives on nutrition, recovery and work-life balance
- Ideas for health-promoting leadership and collaboration
Who can take part? How can you take part?
All students and staff at the University of Potsdam are welcome to take part. Group submissions are also accepted.
Please submit your idea as a brief description (max. 1 page, PDF) using the form . The description should be as specific as possible:
- What is your idea?
- What is the aim of the idea?
- What added value does the idea offer to students, staff and the campus?
NOTE: To access the ideas competition form, you must log in to the campus VPN via SSO. This is a necessary authentication step. You can find the ZIM’s instructions for accessing the VPN via SSO here. Access to the VPN server is enabled for all university members with a central UP account.

Jury & Organisation
The submitted ideas will be reviewed and then assessed by a panel comprising representatives from the University Management, the Coordination Office for Equal Opportunities, Human Resources Development and Occupational Health Management, Feel Good Campus, Green Office and the International Office. The following evaluation criteria will be used for the selection process:
- Impact: How significant is the expected benefit for those who will benefit from the implementation of the idea?
- Reach: How many people would benefit from the implementation?
- Feasibility: How feasible is the idea given limited resources?
