The European university alliance EDUC is opening access for the second time to selected core facilities and research infrastructures of its partner universities as part of EDUC-WIDE. Researchers and doctoral candidates from our university are invited to submit project proposals. The submission deadline is 27 February 2026, 12:00 CET.

Purpose of the Call

The call supports cross-border research projects within the EDUC Alliance. As part of this call, selected core facilities of the three widening partner universities can be used:

  • Masaryk University (Czech Republic)
  • University of Pécs (Hungary)
  • Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University (Ukraine)

The facilities and services that can be requested are limited to these three partners. One or more services/technologies from the available core facilities may be combined.

Available Research Infrastructures

Within the framework of the call, selected research infrastructures of the three widening partners (Ukraine, Hungary, Czech Republic) are available. A detailed overview of all devices, technologies, and services that can be requested can be found in Attachment 1 of the Call Documentation.

Scope of Funding

Use of the selected research infrastructures is free of charge for funded applicants. Any costs incurred (e.g., instrument time, consumables, necessary training, analysis/interpretation of results) will be covered by the call budget. For the application, a financial offer from the respective core facility must therefore be obtained. This serves budget planning purposes and forms the basis for the funding decision.

In addition, travel and accommodation costs or costs for shipping samples may be funded (see the call documents for details).

Total budget of the call: EUR 87,100
